About Me
Mike Daily is a novelist and recording artist who occasionally performs his work in Portland, Oregon. He was vocalist for the innovative fiction rock band, O'GRADY (2005-2008). His second novel/double CD set, ALARM, was released at Someday Lounge on June 20, 2007 (Stovepiper Books Media). ALARM carries on the comical narratives of Mick O'Grady, introduced in Daily's first published novel, Valley (Bend Press, 1998). He's an archivalist. His new thing is Mr. Viced Honest, a spoken words/psychedelic rock show based on poet Steve Richmond. Mr. Viced Honest's debut live performance is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Tonic Lounge in NE Portland.

Here are lyrics to the 'Mr. Viced Honest' thing I've been working on.
This part was published as a broadside by Cobalt Poets Series in May 2008.
Plan is to expand the piece.
The idea is along the lines of the anagram Jim Morrison came up with for his own name--
MR MOJO RISIN / JIM MORRISON
--which he later used in the Doors song "Mr. Mojo Risin'."
Scramble the letters of MR VICED HONEST and what do you get?
MR VICED HONEST / STEVE RICHMOND
It's being written with full respect in regards to SR and his bibliography.
